This week, we pull back out from the day to the whole week. We are revisiting what a balanced week looks like for us, learning how to use weekly planning to visualize our week, and discovering how to create a week that will allow us to be as emotionally regulated as possible.
We will also look at how to make decisions and prioritize routines and events for when we do not have enough time or unexpected things happen.
Many neurodivergent people struggle to manage time and often feel like life is passing them by. This creates a cycle of anxiety and overwhelm, making it even harder to get in the driver's seat of life. The Time Management program is here to support participants in managing time and finding a balance that allows them to move through their life in a more easeful way. Through recognizing the limitations placed by neurology and making time visible, we create weekly schedules tailored to each participant's unique needs. There is an emphasis on creating a schedule that is sustainable from a nervous system perspective, in order to reduce burnout, illness, and job loss.
The Time Management Program empowers you by teaching strategies for setting and communicating boundaries that make sense for both work environments and life outside of them. It emphasizes an understanding of self-regulation, providing intentional downtime with activities designed to nurture your needs. With a knowledgeable and compassionate approach built into every step along the way, this program provides essential tools for creating weekly schedules tailored specifically towards sustainable long-term employment.
This program should be considered when a participant is struggling to manage their daily life and is having difficulty knowing or communicating how often they can work. It can benefit those who have a history of job loss due to frequent absences, persistently being late, etc. It can also be helpful for those who have specific stress or difficulty communicating about their needs with time from histories of co-dependency or enmeshment.
